Discovery Rangers

Note: Our Discovery Rangers sub-division is currently closed due to lack of facilitators. If you are interested in facilitating the 3rd through 5th grade Royal Rangers ministry, please speak with Carolyn Fanning, Dave Brown or Tom Cogan. We would be happy to answer any of your questions.

Discovery Rangers is for boys third grade through fifth grade.  The boy that comes into Discovery Rangers from Ranger Kids will have met the requirements for a recruit, but boys that do not have the Ranger Kid background will need to learn the Motto, Code and Pledges to complete the recruit requirement. 

A Discovery Ranger will start having activities that have harder requirements and he will start the camping program.  He will learn about organization and how to become a leader.  He will learn skills that will stay with him for life.  He will be required to work both as an individual and a team to complete many of his merits for advancement. 

He will learn about camping and his Bible study will be more detailed.  He will work on a Bible merit and a secular merit at every weekly meeting.  He will build pride in his ability and the ability of his team mates as he learns to become a man of God.
